The mountains of Nepal hold a near-legendary fascination the world over. When you're there, however, it can be hard to distinguish peaks, passes, etc. from each other with respect to your current view point.
Nepal AR facilitates geographic feature identification within five of Nepal's most popular National Parks and Conservation Areas: Sagarmatha (Everest) NP; Annapurna CA; Shey Phoksundo NP; Langtang NP; and Manaslu CA.
The app comes pre-loaded with a database of over 680 hills/mountains, passes, villages/towns and medical facilities - no Internet connection is required.
Geographic features out to a maximum range of 50km from your current location are displayed overlaid on your camera.
Geographic features can be filtered by range and type to help refine what you see on screen. You can even select a geographic feature to highlight, ensuring that your target stands out from the crowd.
NB: This app does not replace the need for a map and guide book - it can help inform navigation decisions, but should always be used in addition to more formal navigation tools.
